Chrys Hatzis Varvounis
Enrolled Agent, Owner
With the firm since 1989, Chrys' more than 30 years of accounting and tax experience provides her with knowledge to skillfully service the needs of our firm's clients. She focuses on ensuring all our clients are getting the most out of their resources, while taking advantage of all appropriate tax benefits and credits. In addition to providing tax and accounting advice to the firm's individual and business clients, Chrys is responsible for the overall operation of the firm. Chrys also manages the firm's administration and review process of all tax preparation of the firm.
Enrolled Agent, Tax Manager
Jessica joined the firm in 2012 as an intern while completing her Accounting degree. In 2015, she successfully passed the exam to become an Enrolled Agent, which is a federally authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation. As an EA, Jessica is able to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service to resolve tax problems and audits. Her responsibilities include income tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. She also is in charge of financial statement reporting, annual report filings, bookkeeping and sales/meals tax reporting.
After 37 years as a Revenue Agent with the IRS, Earl joined the firm in 2000. While with the IRS, Earl specialized in corporate, trust and pass-thru entities taxation. Since joining the firm, Earl specializes in resolving issues clients have with the IRS & the DOR. For the past 40 years, Earl has been a senior adjunct instructor in Accounting at North Shore Community College, as well as Director of Salem State University's Institute for Continuing Education for Accountants. A 14 week program is presented each fall to meet the CPE requirements of CPA's and Enrolled Agents.
Staff Accountant, Director
A graduate of Merrimack College, with a degree in Accounting, Olympia is a long-time employee of the firm. Olympia's primary role is the handling and upkeep of our client's bookkeeping needs. Olympia manages the maintenance of our firm's programs that track the progress and completion of all client engagements and tax filings. She also ensures all other administrative functions are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
Payroll Coordinator, Bookkeeping Specialist
Joy is a also a long time employee of the firm. She manages all aspects of the clients’ payroll processing and filings for the IRS and state filings, including preparation of year end filings such as w2’s and 1099’s preparation. She also performs bookkeeping duties for small businesses, while assisting with other administrative functions in the office.
Evangelos has been working with the firm since 2005. He is responsible for the electronic filing of all income tax returns with the IRS and DOR. He receives e-file acknowledgements indicating whether a return has been accepted and troubleshoots when it has not. He also assists with day-to-day operations including pick-up and delivery of client records and tax returns and other out of office tasks that arise.
